Job Description

Overview

Wash, peel, and trim vegetables according to company standards.

Use knives and other cutting tools safely and efficiently.

Follow portion sizes and cutting specifications as per production requirements.

Maintain cleanliness of cutting boards, knives, and surrounding workstations.

Monitor freshness and quality of produce before and after cutting.

Pack cut vegetables into trays, bags, or containers as per packaging guidelines.

Weigh and label packed items accurately.

Ensure all packages are sealed and presented according to quality standards.

Assist in assembling meal kits or produce boxes if required.

Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift.

Follow food safety regulations and hygiene standards (e.g. wearing gloves, hairnets).

Sanitize tools and equipment after each use or at required intervals.

Report any food quality or safety issues to supervisors immediately.

Assist in receiving and stocking vegetables and packing supplies.

Collaborate with other team members to meet production targets and timelines.

Take direction from supervisors and adapt to changing tasks as needed.

Participate in cleaning duties at the end of shifts or during scheduled cleanups.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures.

  • Must follow food safety, hygiene, and personal protective equipment (PPE) policies.

  • Previous experience in food preparation, kitchen work, or packing is an asset.

  • Ability to work night shift or flexible hours, including weekends or overtime, if needed.
