Job Description

Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Kitchen Steward to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.

- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
- Assist in the washing and storage of dishes, pots, and pans to ensure a steady supply of clean items.
- Support kitchen staff by preparing ingredients and ensuring that all necessary supplies are readily available.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and report any shortages to the kitchen manager.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
- Assist with waste disposal and recycling efforts to promote sustainability within the kitchen.

Requirements
  • Previous experience in a kitchen or similar environment is preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.

  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop within the role.

Education and Experience
  • Highschool graduate or equivalent

  • Food Handling Certificate

  • With Skills Pass
