Job Description

Overview
  • Assist senior chefs in preparing ingredients (chopping, peeling, portioning)
  • Cook basic dishes under supervision, ensuring consistency and quality
  • Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes and chef instructions
  • Plate and present dishes to the required standard
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation at all times
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
  • Properly store ingredients and equipment after use
  • Dispose of food waste safely and efficiently
  • Ensure proper use and care of kitchen tools and appliances
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen brigade

Requirements
  • Previous kitchen or food preparation experience is a plus

  • Solid knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen equipment

  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices

Education and Experience
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred

  • Food handler’s certificate
